    • [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 2, Ed. 1, Tree #3134, Date of Import: 8 Jun 1998]

Arrived in New York from Germany on Friday before her grandson Gustave Eisemann's Bar Mitzvah, January, 1939. Her departure was delayed because she went to Holland to say good bye to a sister (Fanny Rapp) and had difficulty re-entering Germany.

Aschaffenburg is located 38 km ESE of Frankfurt and had a Jewish population of 591.

Emile was quite hard of hearing, and according to Ruth Rapp, relied heavily on her nephew Menny for medical and personal advice. Perhaps because of her hearing loss, she was paranoid that people were always talking about her. When she would call at the Rapp home for Menny, and was told that he was not in, she would ask to use the bathroom and proceed to look in each room of the house, believing that he was avoiding her.
