    • He fought in WW I for four years, ultimately attaining the rank of dragoon. He got awards for his service serveral times. He was a British Prisoner of War for one year. The Jordan family lived in Freudental until February 1936. Julius Jordan was a cattle dealer in Vaihingen/Enz until 1936 was he was forbidden to continue his business. In 1936 the family moved to Ludwigsburg for about a year until they were able to emigrate to America in June 1937. It was very difficult for the Jordans to earn a living during their first few years in the US. Julius worked as a truck driver and Nanette as a seamstress. In 1968 the family lived in Irvington, NJ.
