    • Werner Frank: "She has become a legend, mention of her in most books about Gurs, specifically in "Menschen in Gurs". A pediatrician by training, she was one of the doctors that worked the hospital at Gurs. She volunteered for deportation from Gurs (to Auschwitz from Drancy), even though she was not obligated, in order to stay with her patients and also try to find her brother who had been deported earlier from the Munich area. She was single."
