  	The following was mentioned in an article called "Young Musicians" in the Davenport Daily Leader on 27 January 1895: "Rock Island Union: Prof. Otto's juvenile orchestra on Wednesday evening [23 January 1895] gave a musicale at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. Mosenfelder. The orchestra is composed of Gabie, Simon and Blanche Mosenfelder, Carrie, Sam and James Smythe, Keith Collings, Mattie Jones and Morris and Elsa Simon. About fifty friends of the young folks were present, and were delighted with the choice musical program rendered by them. The evening's entertainment included a recherche collation served by the hostess.

  	Her obituary stated that "Mrs. Mosenfelder was known for her interest in charitable institutions. She was a member of the Tri-city Temple Emanuel of Davenport; of the Visiting Nurse association of Rock Island, of which she was a director since its orgnaization; of the Bethany Home, of which she was the founder; of the Cleveland Jewish Orpah's Home, of which she has been a director for the past eight years, and of the Deborahs, an organization of Jewish women devoted to welfare work in Palestine, of which she has been president for the past 25 years."
