    • The NYT stated:"Palm Beach, Fla. - Ike H. Jacob of 525 West End Avenue, New York, Was found dead in the Royal Poinciana Hotel here just after 9:30 this morning. A doctor who was called said that Mr. Jacob had died of heart disease, probably caused by the shock of taking a cold bath. The body was sent to New York tonight for burial. Mr. Jacob was 53 years old. He was a merchant of sandals, and leggings with offices at 85 Fifth Avenue."
